There is currently no Modernhunter app available in the Google Play Store. Until the new version is released, simply install our web app directly on your smartphone – after that you'll use it like any normal app, including push notifications for new captures.
A new version of our Android app has already been uploaded and is currently being reviewed by Google. As part of the changeover, however, the previous app was temporarily taken offline – which is why there is currently no Modernhunter app to be found in the Google Play Store.
So that you can continue to conveniently receive captures and set up cameras from your phone, we've extended our web app so that you can add it to your home screen. It then opens in full screen like an app – so you don't have to wait for the release in the Play Store.
The same login details as in the app – no new account needed.

Then install manually: in Chrome, tap the menu icon (three dots) in the top right and select Install app or Add to Home screen.
The prompt appears right after the installation.
Receive and view captures, set up and manage new cameras, and get push notifications for new captures – in other words, everything you know from the app.
If the installation or notification doesn't work right away, one of these points almost always helps.
The Modernhunter web app now sits as an icon on your home screen and opens in full screen like a normal app. As soon as the new Android app is released by Google, you can switch back to the app from the Play Store at any time – until then, the installed web app is a fully equivalent replacement.
This guide applies to Android. On the iPhone, the Modernhunter app is still available in the App Store – so iPhone users don't need to change anything.
